We had a good time of prayer. Here's what the LORD seems to have impressed on us:
- We need to pray bigger—not to be afraid to ask the LORD for big things
- In a discussion about fruitfulness and about how the seed that fell on good ground in the Parable of the Sower bore fruit at least thirty-fold one of our number suggested and prayed that the Fruits of the Spirit (Gal 6:22-23) would grow thirty-fold! That would bring times of refreshing (Acts 3:19)!
- We heard that the LORD may well be speaking to us as He did to the Church in Ephesus in Rev 2:4-5
Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.
As our Collect of the Day yesterday said,
Father of mercy, alone we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves.
No kidding.
