On New Wine and a New Awakening: Bishop David Pytches

Bishop David Pytches in a talk on Kingdom Commission in 1999:
The old wineskin can’t take the new wine so we’ve got to find ways of creating new wine skins to hold the new wine that God is releasing to His church today. Unfortunately, we say, “Oh no, they’re not fitting in properly. We can’t cope with these people.” And they sort of reject them from our traditional churches, but we’ve got to find ways of holding them so they can have the blessing of belonging to the traditional church and we can have the blessing of new life going on around us.
So they can have the blessing of belonging to the traditional church. It is a blessing. And we Anglicans and other "traditional" denominations can enjoy the blessing of new life going on around us.  This is not only what the Fresh Expressions people are on about but I suspect it's also what revival releases in the church and in our society—NEW WINE: from the LORD's vineyard, rich in colour, tasty and intoxicating in the Spirit!

Here's looking at you! Cheers!
