Cross Thought

We had this in our epistle yesterday: "far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Gal 6.14), and that reminded me of this quote I wrote down in one of my notebooks:
The tree of the cross becomes for me a plant of endless well being; it gives me my nourishment. I strike root in its roots and in its branches I spread; its dew is my joy and its rustling makes me prolific. (anon. in Icons and Holiness)
 Amen. So be it.
